The Room Walkthrough Epilogue Chapter 5

The Room Epilogue Walkthrough!

Use the eyepiece to scan around the top of the table until you see a fluorescent blue/green marking.
Zoom in on the marking and turn the inner part of the ink to the left so that it makes a handprint.
A circle platform with rise up from the inside of the handprint.
Scan around the sides of the platform until you see a switch. Flip the switch to the right.
Take the small gear.
Take off the eyepiece and scan around the sides of the table. There is a gold square on the side of the table to the left of the notebook. Pull down the gold square.
Place the small gear from your inventory onto the triangle. Tap the square button next to the triangle gear that you just placed.
In the next puzzle that you are brought to, you must move the slider on the button around so that it turns all the gears and then slides into one of the open rectangles that opens. To do this, move the slider all the way to the left circle, then cut to the far right circle. Now move the slider down and up through the middle of the two center circles. Then move the slider around the top circle (right to left). The pathway will open next to the top circle so you can move your slider into it.
Move the slider around so that it moves into the lower pathway. A switch will appear that you must flick down.
You will be brought to a blue metal orb. Take the blue metal orb / ball.
Open the blue metal orb in your inventory and slide the top around until a small circular design appears.
Tap the circle icon to open the orb, and take the small square gear.
Swipe back to the side of the table with the triangle gear. Place the square gear on the upper square and hit the button next to that gear.
A drawer will open. Take the strangely shaped key from out of the drawer.
Use the key to open the black music box on top of the table. Turn the key to the left so that it lines up with the bottom left arrow of the music box.
Grab a metal plate from the right side of the box.
Go back and turn the key all the way to the right. Flip the switch that appears down.
Turn the key left again. Take the other key that appears in the open panel on the side of the music box.
Slide around the music box until you see a gold metal plate. Put the key into the keyhole in the gold metal plate and turn.
Go back to the strangely shaped key and twist it so it aligns with the middle arrow.
Go back to the other key in the gold plate and remember the two icons that are displayed (harp and music note).
Go back to the strangely shaped key and turn it left.
Go back to the other key and swipe the gold panel until you see the harp icon that was seen before.
Go back to the strangely shaped key and turn it right.
Go back to the other key and swipe the gold panel until you see the music note.
Go back to the strangely shaped key and turn it so it is facing up.
Go back to the other key in the gold panel. You will see two buttons. Tap both buttons at the same time.

Wear the eyepiece. Look at them from the right. Pull the ends too turn the prisms. Adjust the angle you're viewing from to line up the numbers.

I did the bit with the number you needed to enter, but now i have a coin and i'm really stuck, my hints say there are buttons under the brass plates, but i'm pretty sure that's what i needed. To press before to get the triange tubes, any leads what now?

Rob I assume you mean the black box with the brass plate that has opened, if so, just turn the triangular key to the 12 o clock position, you should see two symbols ,where there was only one before, ok, now go back to the key and turn either left or right, back to the brass plate and turn and match the appropriate symbol, the turn key the other way and repeat to match the other symbol

Rob You need the two metal handles which you get for playing the three piano sequences, use these to alter the position of the square you see, the move the squares on the opposite side to get rid of them

Ant It's not 379, it's 573, which is the number on the triangular tubes, you enter it to the right of this where there are three brass tumblers which are set to 309 at this point, change these to 573

Ren You can't, turn the key to bottom right until you get the slider back, it moved the panel covering the item, the slider was in the top position to start as was the glass panel protecting the top half, just put it back into this position

You can actually get stuck here if you use the key before sliding the cover back up. Restart the chapter and do it again

Anonymous You need to get the metal handle from the bottom compartment covered by the blue glass screen, the place it in the circle on the edge of the table, this will slide the piano out

I am completely stuck at the part with three coloured gems in the sliding tile puzzle. I have been able to remove the yellow gem from the puzzle but the other 2 gems refuse to slide into the corner tile. Is there something I'm missing here? The game hint offers no clue that you might need to do anything other than slide the gems into the corner tile.

I am at the two turn handles for the box you have to use the eyepiece. what am supposed to do. I have turned both of then and now I am stuck with one tile that won't go away.

You have to line up the empty spot on the cube to where you can slide the last block into it use the spy glass on both sides to see where it is. If you line the empty spot on the cube so you can see it on the side with the handles when you flip it to back side - top rt = bottom lt - bottom rt =top left - top left = bottom rt and bottom left = top rt

Yeah, the second blue ball/gem is a problem for me too. The path never lines up with the center hole. I checked out a walkthrough and the video shows the second gem lining up with center just fine.

Ok look at the symbol on the star key then turn the key to bottom rt or lt go to the switch dial change the symbol to that symbol now go back to star key turn key to opposite of what you did the first time make the symbol the same as the center of star key again then turn the key up then there will now be two symbols memorize those symbols then turn key to rt set symbol to what you saw on rt and do the same for lft if you did it correctly you will get 2 buttons push at same time

On the second maze puzzle, the ball never lines up with the hole it's supposed to fit into. I've followed several of the walkthroughs and even going through the maze correctly leaves me 1/3 of the way around the circle from the socket. Suggestions?

Turn the key in a different position you will see like a drawer go by to the right then go look at the sliding door area stuff will be there then you have to flip the switch to get the stuff behind thw door

On the second blue ball of the labyrinth too and its impossible to get to the hole. The final spinner never lines up with the hole. I've watched the walk throughs and I think there's got to be a glitch in our game. Pretty lame.

So I placed in all my tiles in the empty sockets, but now they won’t move. Is there some kind of order it should be in. It keeps telling me clue four. I need to have an empty socket to slide in the tiles. ( which I did) are they all suppose to be one frames nod if so, how do I get them there. I’m stuck on the tiles please help. Reply

Are you looking through the glass with the eyepiece? If so, you need to get the squares into the empty sockets. Looking through the eyepiece helps, but I think that I got it by trial and error. D Good luck!

Second maze-impossible. I have been on this part for 2 days, read the walktnrough and watched the YouTube video. The maze does not line up, there is only one possible path. This sucks.

Yes, I had that glitch too. People who didn't experience it probably think that those of us who did are just really bad at lining things up, but on my first playthrough, in the second maze the rotation of the inner ring did not bring any path into the area where the gem is supposed to go. Every time I got the gem to the center the path ran right into the solid center hub, and no amount of clicking the center button would bring any path into alignment with the hole. I had to reset the chapter and do everything again (which fortunately takes only about five minutes the second time around) and this time both mazes worked correctly.

I turn the key in every position but the bottom half of the compartment won't lift up so that I can get the gold thing inside. Ran out of hints. They were no help. Is this a glitch or am I missing something? I see the switch but it had no button on it. It doesn't do anything.

There is a glitch in the program. I had same problem where could not line up blue gem with hole on second maze. I reset the chapter and redid everything, and finished maze straight away this time.

From Fireproofs website: I'm stuck in the Epilogue trying to get the 2nd gem through the maze Unfortunately this is a known bug, which occurs if you quit the game at a specific point and then try to continue. We have a fix, which we've sent to Apple and we're trying to get it released as soon as possible.

Griff, Is there also a bug with the piano?? I keep trying to get the the 2nd set of keys to work...and i press one and 3 or 4 press down at the same time. SO frustrating, I cant get past the 2nd group of keys we have to play. Suggestions?

One thing I noticed is that I cannot hit the 3 piano keys simultaneously if I have the accessibility option 'zoom' on. I must first shut that off in order to continue. Just letting you all know in case you're stuck on piano as I was.

Kendra, if you get into a position where the switch has disappeared, you need to restart the chapter over (as far as I can tell). This happened to me as well. I'm assuming it's a bug in the game, since The Room doesn't typically allow you to get into an unwinnable state, but I'm not sure. Anyway, a restart fixed this issue for me.

Once you see the code on the prisms, check out the upper right hand corner of the box, just diagonal from the prisms themselves, and you'll see the number dial. It isn't on the table. It is above the prisms to the right. Use the dial to put in the three numbers the prisms revealed. Next I went back to the piano. Remember the letter you found? It reveals piano keys. Press those at the same time and then a slot opens for the coin. Pop the coin inside and the piano starts a game where it plays and then you have to play the same notes.
